The Kansas City Symphony is looking for individuals passionate about classical music and non-profit work, offering internship opportunities ranging from six weeks to a full semester in Marketing, Operations, and Philanthropy. Internships entail a commitment of 10-15 hours weekly and are unpaid, offering opportunities to document your contributions for academic credit. Duties will be tailored to match your skills and academic level.
Internships Available:

- Marketing Internship – Support various facets of marketing and customer service, such as advertising, website management, graphic design, email marketing, social media engagement, press release coordination, direct mail campaigns, and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate should demonstrate creativity, a positive demeanor, and proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Operations Internship – Support the operations department, engage in hands-on tasks backstage with orchestra and production staff, and undertake assigned research projects. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in the Microsoft Suite and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Philanthropy Internship – Support philanthropic initiatives by conducting donor research using databases, assisting with special events and gift processing, and performing general office tasks. The ideal candidate should be personable, confident both over the phone and in person, and possess basic computer skills.
- Inter-Departmental Internship – Support the Kansas City Symphony across its Marketing, Operations, and Philanthropy departments. This internship is a minimum of one semester allowing up to two semesters, due to the expansive opportunity, offering extensive exposure to diverse aspects of arts management in each department and providing valuable experience. The ideal candidate should be proficient in the Microsoft Suite, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and skilled at engaging with people in varied contexts.
