Kauffman Center Policies
The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts recognizes the safety of our patrons, staff, volunteers and performers is a critical cornerstone for providing world-class performing arts experiences.
The Kauffman Center’s bag check policy has recently changed, which resulted from valuable feedback from our visitors. Effective November 28, 2018, the Kauffman Center implements a new security screening policy and related procedures for guests attending performances. This new protocol includes walk-through and hand-held magnetometers (metal detectors) to screen for items prohibited inside the Kauffman Center. Please note the new security screening policy eliminates the 12-inch-by-12-inch limitation for bags, as security will search all bags prior to entry for public events. Over-sized duffels, cases and all backpacks remain prohibited.
